How we research

Our pages are built from provider-facing information such as official hotel and platform terms, loyalty program pages, fee explanations, cancellation language, checkout disclosures, and public help-center material. We compare that information against the practical questions a traveler asks before booking: What is the full cost, what can change, who controls the reservation, and what happens if plans move.

When a detail varies by property, market, date, membership tier, or rate type, we describe the variable rather than treating one example as universal. Readers should always verify the final tax-and-fee-inclusive total and cancellation policy on the provider site before booking.

Review cadence

Core brand and guide pages are reviewed at least quarterly for fee language, cancellation references, loyalty program framing, and outbound link accuracy. Pages that discuss fast-changing promotions, rate rules, or policy updates may be reviewed more often when a material change is identified.

The `Last updated` date on a page reflects the most recent editorial or technical review recorded for that file. It is not a guarantee that every provider fee or rule is unchanged on the day you read it.
